perspectives of reasons they believe! Please contact us if you
would like a DVD of the presentations (all four presentations for
$30), including the following speakers and topics:

Privileged Planet”

and the Bible:
Is There a Conflict?” Roy Masonheimer, “Science
and Faith: Rooted in
the Same Principle?” John Van Wagoner, Ph.D.,
and “Discovering
the Difference -- Aetheistic-Naturalism and Christianity,” Ken Samples, Vice President for theological and
philosophical apologetics for Reasons To Believe.

Advent
Wreath-making Festival - Timber Ridge will hostws its annual
Advent Wreath-making Festival on November 28. Please join us for
our next festival. This family event is certain to deepen your Christmas
experience. Each family will be provided with supplies to make
their own Advent wreath, including candles, greenery, and an Advent
booklet.

Birthday
Party for Jesus - On December 9, 2007 Timber Ridge sponsored our
fourth annual Birthday Party for Jesus. This
wonderful event offers our children the opportunity to learn the true
meaning of Christmas and giving.
During this fun-filled birthday party, each child brought an unwrapped gift to benefit the Presbyterian Children’s
Home. This year's Birthday Party for Jesus
included a special Walk through Bethlehem where children
visited a variety of craft stations to help them understand how Jesus
lived. For more information on the Presbyterian Children's Home,
please visit http://www.pchas.org

Blessing of
the Animals and Pet Food Drive - In response to our call as stewards of God's Creation, Timber Ridge
considers our Blessing of the Animals to be an outreach
ministry. We invite nonprofit organizations that help animals in
need, or groups with animals that assist people in need, as well as law
enforcement canine teams and mounted patrol for special
recognition. During 2007, representatives from Greyhound Pets
of America (www.gpahouston.org), the
Montgomery County Humane Society,
The Texas Wildlife
Rehabilitation Coalition (www.twrc-houston.org), and The Woodlands Dog Park Club
(www.thewoodlandsdogparkclub.org) informed participants about
their organizations after Worship. Additionally, we collected
nearly 500 pounds of dry dog, cat, and puppy food to benefit the Montgomery County Humane
Society. Please join us next October for sixth annual
Blessing. It is, indeed, a wonderful and joyful service!
-
Christmas
Angel Baskets - This special outreach is designed to thank those in our community who
must work on Christmas Day while the rest of us are home with our
families. After Christmas Eve Communion Service, volunteers deliver
baskets of freshly-baked cookies and goodies to local fire stations, police departments, and
medical facilities. God bless each of you who serve and protect
us every single day!
-
Critters
for Christ - Timber Ridge is looking for volunteers and their pets
to begin an ecumenical pet therapy ministry in The Woodlands.
Mary Kegarise from Oaks Presbyterian Church has offered to help us set
up a satellite Critters for Christ in our area. Critters
for Christ is an organization of dedicated volunteers and their
animals that perform animal assisted therapy visits for health care
facilities, social, and special needs programs.
Critters for Christ extends God’s Call, empowers
God’s people, and eases human need.
If you have a willing heart to serve the Lord and a few hours a
month to volunteer, Critters for Christ is for you!
Your pet should be friendly, calm, and easily controlled.
To qualify for the ministry, your pet must pass a temperament
screening test. Mary will
schedule a New Volunteer Workshop at Timber Ridge later this Fall.

God
in Space Camp - Timber Ridge will host
our fantastic summer program God in Space, beginning Monday, June 23, through Friday, June 27. This exciting week-long
camp is designed to build faith through science for girls and boys age twelve through fifteen.
During the weeklong program, Timber Ridge’s sanctuary will transform into a shuttle launch pad, complete with its own Mission Control.
While in space, our astronauts will use NASA educational activities to build models that spin, fly, and crawl. They'll pilot gliders and test land rovers on obstacle courses. They'll snack on space foods and feast on God’s promises! God in Space provides an explosive, fun-packed week that will throttle up your faith and thrust you into the experience of a lifetime!
We're looking for a few good young people with the right stuff to join us! For more information, please visit
www.Godinspace.com. Space is limited! Please call 936.321.3298 for early
registration. Cost is $40 and includes a Bible, T-shirt, craft supplies, and snacks.

The
Gathering Place - This
ecumenical ministry offers hope and support by serving families with
homebound seniors and loved ones who have mild to moderate Alzheimer's
or other forms of dementia. The
program is free and meets once a month at Timber Ridge in partnership
with The Woodlands Community Presbyterian Church and Interfaith
CarePartners of Houston. The Gathering Place is designed to offer
caregivers an opportunity for respite from care giving while their
loved ones enjoy a fun-filled program, including crafts,
simple chair exercises, music, entertainment, and a light
lunch. The Gathering Place meets every third Friday from 10:00
am to 1:30 pm. For more information or if you would like to
volunteer for this worthy ministry, please call

fifth annual
Operation Valentine's Day. We received over 500 Valentines and
letters of encouragement for our military men and women during last year's campaign. As you can tell by the photos above, our 2006 Operation
Valentine's Day was declared a complete success! Timber Ridge remains
committed to doing all that we can to support our soldiers.

Timber Ridge. All letters must remain
unsealed for security reasons. For more information about Operation Valentine's Day, please call

School
Supply Drive -- In October 2007, we completed our fourth annual
Filipino School Supply Drive benefiting the North City Elementary
School on the island of Negros Orientals in the town of Dumaguete in
The Philippines. Dumaguete is the childhood home of one of TRPC's members. The school serves approximately 1,500 students.
The project began as a mission project for our 2004 Vacation Bible
School and grew into a church-wide event. The children who
received these much-needed supplies have written some inspiring
letters that are sure to warm your heart! Thanks to everyone who
participated in our 2007 drive!
-
Sister
Church in Bosnia - Timber Ridge feels blessed and
privileged to have a sister church in Bosnia. Through the
Grace of our Lord and Savior and the faith of this small congregation,
the Bosnian church continues to grow. Please join us as we pray
for our brothers and sisters in Christ that they may continue to
safely join together to share the teachings of Jesus and spread the
Good News throughout Bosnia.
-
Two
Cent Offering - The last Sunday in each month after the children's
sermon, our youth collect monies to benefit Oak Ridge's free Community
Clinic. Please join us in filling their baskets and helping them
to learn the meaning of helping others through outreach. For
more information about the Community Clinic, please visit http://www.communityclinic.net/.
-
Xtreme
Adventure Ministries (XAM) - XAM is a Christian ministry that
carries the name of Jesus and His "good news" to xtreme
sporting events in the form of service, fellowship, and witness.
Our prayer is to give Jesus so much glory at these events, that
people are compelled to accept Jesus as Savior. XAM
is a ministry that is as individual as each of its members; yet, it is
tied together by our love for Jesus and obedience to His
commands. For more information about XAM, please visit our
website at http://www.xtremeadventureministries.org/.
